This patriotic popcorn is a sweet snack mix with red, white, and blue candy drizzle, candy coated chocolates, and sprinkles. It sets up fast for 4th of July parties, movie nights, and cookout snack tables.

Ingredients

  • 10 cups popped popcorn.
  • 1/2 cup white candy melts.
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts.
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts.
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue candy coated chocolates.
  • 1/4 cup patriotic sprinkles.


Instructions

  • Spread the popped popcorn over parchment on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Melt the white, red, and blue candy melts in separate bowls until smooth.
  • Spoon the melted candy into separate piping bags.
  • Drizzle the popcorn with white, red, and blue candy melts.
  • Scatter the candy coated chocolates and sprinkles over the wet drizzle.
  • Let the candy coating set, then break the popcorn into snackable pieces.

Notes

Use plain popped popcorn so the candy colors can stand out and the snack does not get too salty. Let the drizzle set before moving the popcorn, because warm candy coating can smear and clump. Keep the finished popcorn in a dry container so it stays crisp.
